Blue Heron Ministries (BHM) is a non-profit land conservation organization based in Angola, Indiana. We provide opportunities to apply the hands-on craft of ecological restoration to steward God’s creation within the context of community. BHM serves patrons in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. Our sanctuaries are located in Steuben County, IN.

Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation

The Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation (WACF) is a local public not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the Wawasee area watershed for present and future generations. The Wawasee Watershed covers 24,448 acres including Wawasee, Syracuse, Bonar and Papakeechie lakes as well as ten lakes in the upper Turkey Creek sub watershed. The Foundation was formed in 1991 to anticipate, search out, and solve threats to the Wawasee Area Watershed and to its water quality.

ACRES Land Trust

Founded in 1960, ACRES Land Trust is Indiana’s oldest land trust and is dedicated to owning and protecting natural and working lands, inspiring people to value, appreciate and support these places for the benefit of all – today and forever. Thanks to member and volunteer support, the group offers trail systems for public enjoyment at many of its preserves.

Wood Land Lakes Land Trust

Wood-Land Lakes RC & D is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, established in 1994 to address natural resource needs in northeast Indiana. WLL’s farmland conservation easement program is open to serving all of northern Indiana, currently protecting over 11,000 acres in 11 counties.
