IAS Partnership

Indiana Land Protection Alliance is partnering with Indiana Academy of Science (IAS) to connect taxonomic specialists with Indiana’s land trusts and conservation partners. Through this partnership, we strive to increase the quality and quantity of scientific data that is collected from protected lands to inform land acquisition and land management strategies and monitor the long-term impacts to these communities.

ILPA and IAS are providing small grants for qualified bioinventory projects. All applications and project proposals must be submitted to the Biodiversity and Natural Areas Committee (BNAC) of the Indiana Academy of Science by Friday, August 30, 2024. The application form (with submission instructions) is provided below, along with a template agreement you may wish to use as a resource.

For questions about this partnership, please email Dr. Marc Milne, milnem@uindy.edu or Andrea Huntington, ahuntington@protectindianaland.org.
